You are for the AfD [in Germany],\u201d he told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.com\/life-style\/celebrity\/article\/bill-gates-interview-new-book-memoir-wh766b9bs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">British newspaper<\/a> The Times, referencing the Alternative for Germany (AfD), a right-wing political party.<\/p>\n<p>Gates also said Musk shaking up \u201cpolitical situations in countries\u201d is \u201creally insane,&#8221; in the interview <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/news\/insane-sht-bill-gates-rips-elon-musk-for-populist-stirring-in-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">highlighted by Mediaite<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Musk, the Tesla CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/international\/5107715-musk-tells-germans-to-get-over-past-guilt-at-far-right-afd-rally\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">who heavily backed<\/a> President Trump in his 2024 bid for the White House, recently told Germans at a rally for the far-right political party AfD that they should be proud when it comes to their heritage, as well as \u201cmove beyond\u201d the \u201cpast guilt\u201d of generations before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomething I think that is just very important is that people take pride in Germany and being German. This is very important,\u201d Musk said Saturday. \u201cIt\u2019s, you know, it\u2019s OK to be proud to be German. This is a very important principle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Musk went <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/technology\/5068066-musk-says-uks-farage-should-not-be-reform-party-leader\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">after British politician<\/a> Nigel Farage, saying that he should not be the far-right Reform U.K. party\u2019s leader. Musk\u2019s commentary on Farage also came after he had been posting on social media about U.K. politics, calling for the release of far-right activist Tommy Robinson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can all overreach \u2026 If someone is super-smart, and he is, they should think how they can help out.
